I have worked in road maintenance since 2003 for Amey and winter maintenance has been a big part of this. Since 2008 I have been winter manager/severe weather manager across several contracts in Scotland and Northern Ireland. This has involved the planning and day to day operations of all aspects of severe weather.

I have been involved in the creation of several snow plans across Scotland which help keep the country moving in snow events. I have also been on the PIARC Winter Technical Committee since 2020 and helped host the virtual Winter Service and Roads Resilience Congress in 2022.
