A former broadcast journalist and news editor, I have worked in Government communications since 2006. I was previously the official spokesperson for the First Minister. I have worked at Transport Scotland for over a decade. I was the lead communications professional for the Forth Road Bridge Closure in 2015, and heavily involved in the Queensferry Crossing and Borders Railway openings. I was at the helm for the Beast from the East in 2016, COP 26, Operation Unicorn, Cycling World Championships, and the ten named storms this season.
